I am passionate
about making art that symbolizes the resilience and ingenuity of ordinary
people facing the challenges that occur over the course of a lifetime by portraying the objects and scenes that surround them.
In my paintings and assemblages, I
layer paint, texture, and found objects to represent the personal
history and memories that individuals carry with them. The rich colors I use signify the vibrancy
within people as they go about the business of living.
My art is a tribute to all those who transform the everyday into lives of meaning and humor.
